Daniel Lawrence “Dan” Mac” McCauley, Jr.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at his home, with his family at his side; at the age of 91 years. The son of the late Daniel Lawrence McCauley, Sr. and Amanda Ann (Sarrine) McCauley, Daniel was born on September 25, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan.

Daniel married Mary Jean Powlus at Grace Lutheran Church in January 1955. They shared 65 wonderful years together. Daniel entered the Armed Forces in 1946, retiring from the Air Force in August 1969. He retired from Michigan Gas Storage in 1987. In addition, he was a member of the Free Mason and a Shriner, Saginaw Chapter 77. Daniel attended Saginaw Valley Baptist Church (The Valley Church).

Daniel was a loving husband of Mary, loving father of Daniel III (Christine) McCauley, Lori (Alfredo) Sanchez, Candy (Andrew) Pacanovsky, Rodney (Wendy) McCauley, Kevin (Ann) McCauley, Jeffrey (Holly) McCauley; grandfather of 15 grandchildren, great-grandfather of 26 great-grandchildren; brother to Benjamin McCauley and Jerry McCauley. Daniel was preceded in death by a daughter: Kimberly Woodward; a brother: William McCauley; a sister: Nancy Launstein; and a great-grandson: Wyatt.

Honoring Daniel’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to the Worldwide Health Pandemic, private memorial service has taken place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Shriner’s Children Hospital.
