Daniel "Dan" Walter Laitsch of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved companion, father, grandfather,
brother, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison. He was 61 years old. Daniel Walter Laitsch was born on December 5, 1960, in Cicero, Illinois, to the late Donald Coy and Donna J. (Andreotti) Laitsch. He was a proud graduate of St. Mary High School in Saginaw, and attended Delta College for a year. Dan was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and tranquility in the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed all sports, but most of all was a devote Chicago Bears fan. Dan was one of the most humble men a person could know. He could be fierce in determination, but what truly made him an extraordinary man was his loving soul. Dan taught those around him, especially his sons, to love all people regardless of their station or situation in life. A deep thinker by nature, he was philosophical in mind and insightful with advice. Dan's little slice of heaven on Earth was spending time with his partner, sons, and grandchildren. He left his indelible mark on this world by simply being the best family man ever, a wonderful father, and for living an amazing life filled with fond memories and stories.
Surviving are his partner of 37 years, Julie Kay Warner of Saginaw; two sons: Joshua (Rebecca) Holnagel of Okemos; Daniel (Caitlyn) Warner of Dewitt; eight amazing grandchildren; and a brother, Ray Wolozyn. Also surviving are many extended family and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Neil Warner; parents, Donald and Donna Laitsch; and a brother, Kenneth Wolozyn.
Honoring Dan's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family c/I Daniel Warner. Please share your thoughts and memories with the family through www.casefuneralhome.com.
