Beloved father, grandfather, son, uncle and friend passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 with his family at his side; at the age of 68 years.

The son of Jean C. (Baker) and the late Garnet A. Cross, Dan was born on May 17, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Chesaning High School. Dan proudly served in the United States Army and Air Force until he was Honorably Discharged. He married Cynthia A. Sutherby on October 20, 1979 in Biloxi, Mississippi; she preceded him in death on September 15, 1997. Dan then married Marsha J. Millar on April 2, 2004 in Saginaw, Michigan; she preceded him in death on October 31, 2013. He was a truck driver for many years of loyal and dedicated service. Dan enjoyed his music, spontaneous breakfast with family, and cherished time with childhood friends.

Surviving are two daughters and their husbands: Colleen and Henry Haney, Heidi and Robert Culver; five grandchildren: H. Nolan Haney, Liam Haney, Hayden Culver, Cynthia Culver, Sandra Culver; his mother: Jean C. Miller; his brother: Rick (Nancy) Cross; and his sister-in-law: Kim Cross. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides his wives and father; Dan was preceded in death by his brother: Terry Cross; and step-father: Thomas Miller.

Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Burial will take place at Pinegrove Cemetery. Military Honors will take place under the auspices of the United States Army and American Legion Post 22. Friends may visit the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Disabled American Veterans.
