Darlene Marie Keel

Passed away peacefully on December 11, 2021 at the age of 75 years.
Darlene was born on February 28, 1946 in Merrill, MI to the late Reinhold F. and Caroline Marie Fehn Stenzel. She was a graduate of Merrill High School, the class of 1964. She married Clair Keel on February 20, 1965; he predeceased her on November 5, 1986. Darlene farmed with her husband Clair and later retired from Dow Corning. She was a member at Zion Lutheran Church and sang in their choir for many years and helped with the God’s Helping Hands closet. Darlene liked to craft, read, cook and spend time with her family and friends.
Darlene is survived by her daughter Anne (Mike) Kuflewski, grandchildren: Courtney (Seth) Vance, Paul (Kelsie) Kuflewski, great-grandchildren: Baylor Kuflewski, Riggin and Laramie Vance, two sisters: Elenor McDonald, Millie (Roger) Parker, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her husband and parents, Darlene was predeceased by a son Jerald Keel, brother-in-law Bill McDonald and her nephew, Mike Parker.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Rd. Rev. Paul A. Hauser will officiate with burial at LaPorte Cemetery. Friends and family may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel in Merrill on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Memorials may be made to God’s Helping Hands of Zion Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
