Kendall, David A. Bradenton, Florida & Saginaw, MI David a. Kendall, age 88, was ushered into heaven on June 19, 2015. The son of the late David and Virginia Kendall was born August 27, 1926 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He leaves his wife of 68 years, Dorothy (Beukema) Kendall; his son, Michael of Grand Blanc, Michigan; his son, Bill (Gail) Kendall of Greenville, South Carolina; his daughter, Kathy (Pastor Doug Jackson) of Saginaw, Michigan and his daughter, Krisy (Pastor R. B. Ouellette) of Birch Run, Michigan. David had 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; a brother, Ron Kendall lives in Texas. David leaves many other relatives and dear friends. David was predeceased by a sister, Lynn Will and a brother, Rick Kendall. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan he met his wife, Dorothy, at Wealthy Street Baptist Church in 1941 and married in 1946. After serving in the Coast Guard in WWII, David completed a four year apprenticeship and worked for General Motors for thirty years, enjoying an early retirement. At age 52 he and Dorothy shared their dream of enjoying Florida sun in the winter and family in the Michigan summers. David was an active member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, Michigan and was involved with Colony Baptist Church of Ellenton, Florida during the winter season. The funeral service will take place Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, 2400 King Road. Pastor R. B. Ouellette and Pastor Doug Jackson will officiate with burial at Pinegrove Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday.
