Went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the age of 68 years.
David Alan Ford was born August 12, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant to the late Orain and Norma (Smith) Ford. After attending Bridgeport High School, David entered the U. S. Army and was stationed in Alaska during his three-year term of service. He thereafter obtained a degree in business administration. David established TCP Painting, his business which he operated for over 25 years and from which he retired around 2001. He was an avid outdoorsman who often hunted and fished. He taught and instilled a diligent work ethic in all of his children.
David is survived by: his spouse, Mary (Moncman) Ford; his six children, Scott Ford, Carrie (Scott) Bouma, David P. M. Ford, Jason (Danielle) Ford, Joshua (Danielle) Ford, and Ashley (Avery) Swartz; his seven grandchildren, Olive, Silver, Chel-C, Tyler, Maddie, Will, and Nathan; his siblings, Alaina (Charles) Ryder, Laraine (Frank) Torrez, Keith (Connie) Ford, and Tina Cavasos; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Kevin Ford.
