David was born on September 30, 1960, son of the late Robert and Nancy (Kneuss) Fitch, in Saginaw. He served in the United States Marine Corps. David loved to fish and hunt.
He is survived by his son, Jon Owens; grandson, Audrick Owens; sister, Robin (Jim) Reou and brother, Mark (Heidi) Fitch.
Honoring David’s wishes cremation has taken place and military committal will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
