David E. Sperry

David E. Sperry Formerly of Shields, Michigan Passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019, at Medilodge of Frankenmuth; at the age of 86 years. The son of the late Carl L. and Lillian T. (Ederer) Sperry, was born on February 26, 1933, in Saginaw, Michigan. As a teen, David was a paper boy, fur trapper and hunter. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1951. David went on to serve for the United States Army in the Korean War. After the war, he sailed the oceans as a Merchant Seaman. Surviving are his four sisters; Ann Burns, Elaine Middeldorf, Lucy LaFreniere, and Christine Forbes. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by two sisters; Grace Genske and Carolyn Mason. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Private burial will follow. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center.
