David John Kolevar, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 in the presence of loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to family, hard work, and commitment to the community of Saginaw Township. A proud graduate of Central Michigan University, David began his professional career at Standard Oil in Indiana before eventually settling in Saginaw with Sandra (Sandy) Kolevar, his loving wife of 50 years, who preceded him in death in 2017. Together they would build a family and many lifelong friendships along the way.
For over five decades, David was a proud small business owner and hands-on manager. His spirit and commitment to his work helped shape the local business landscape and provided dependable service to generations of friends and customers. Whether behind the counter or out in public, David was known for treating everyone with respect, kindness, and especially for making people laugh. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed boating and watching the Michigan Wolverines with friends and family. He also loved hanging out with his grand-dogs.
David also played a central role in the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 497, helping to guide and support the organization with tireless devotion for more than 50 years. His leadership and generosity left a lasting mark on the Eagles Club, where he was known not just for his dedication and honesty, but also for his truly unique sense of humor.
David’s legacy is one of service—to his family and community. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous heart, and the countless lives he touched over the years.
