David Patrick Faler Saginaw, Michigan Devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend went home to the Lord on April 17, 2017, at the age of 67 years. David was born May 6, 1949, in Midland, Michigan to the late Norma (Shufelt) and Harold R. Lincoln. He was raised by his adoptive parents, the late Joseph and Anne (Rezac) Faler. He graduated in 1967 from Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He then attended the Tyler college of Art in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for two years. There he met his beloved future wife Meri Diedel. Together they moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan where for another two years he attended the Kendall School of design. He was an avid hunter, reader, and researcher of the Civil War. He enjoyed collecting antiques and antique arms. He was a member of Saginaw Field and Stream. His world revolved around his love for his wife, son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 47 years, Meri; son, Davis Owen and his wife Ashley Faler; grandchildren, Dahlia O. and Evander T. Faler; siblings, Marilyn Lincoln Wood, Tom Faler, Joseph Faler, Mary Catherine Siers, Shirley Lincoln Mobley, and Victor Lincoln; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor James Harrington will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
