David “Dave” Kenneth Reid-Hunter

Beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison, with his family at his side; at the age of 68 years.

The son of the late Kenneth Warren and Elsie Mae (Coppenger) Reid, Dave was born on November 9, 1952, in Bay City, Michigan. He graduated from John Glenn High School with the class of 1970. Dave married Craig Hunter on December 24, 2015 in Saginaw, following 19 years of companionship; he survives him. He enjoyed painting, coloring, drawing, crafting and playing cards. Above all, Dave cherished the time with his family and animals.

Surviving besides his husband, Craig: are one brother and two sisters: Frank Reid, Pat Duford, Kathy Lamb. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Besides his parents, Dave was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters: Terry Reid, Dennis Reid, Delann Walker, Lori Migut.

A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. Chuck Howley will officiate with burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral chapel.
