David "Rocky" O'Leary

Beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away at his home, with his family by his side, on Thursday, April 6, 2023, following a valiant fight with complications from cat-scratch fever, and staying true to himself, up until the very end, he upheld his great sense of humor. He was 67 years old.

The son of the late Donal and Joann (Geitman) O’Leary, Rocky was born on June 21, 1955, in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur High School with the class of 1973. Rocky proudly served in the United States Navy until he was Honorably Discharged. He married the love of his life, Kimberley Conden on April 21, 1976; she survives him. Rocky acquired his skills from the State of Michigan Tool and Die at Delta College. He worked at Danaher Motion for many years of loyal and dedicated service. Rocky was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be fondly remembered as a Jack of all trades, sharing his talents building and fixing things. Above all, Rocky cherished the time spent with his family and loved ones.

Surviving besides his wife: Kimberley O’Leary; is his beloved dog: Lilly; three daughters, one son and their spouses: Mackenzie (Ryan) Hudson, Courtney (Dave) Cygan, Chase O’Leary (Maegan Rose), Kallie (Jerrid) McQuarter; grandchildren: Mikayla Hudson, Elizabeth Hudson, Hayden Hudson; Cody Parks, Brandt Cygan, Carley (Shawn) Helm, Carson Parks; Preston O’Leary, Angel Rose, Brayden Rose, Haelie Rose, Isaiah Rose; Ella McQuarter; great-grandchildren: Rosemary Helm, Ryann Hudson; and one brother: Patrick O’Leary. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.  

Honoring Rocky’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48603. Rev. William W. Hessler will officiate. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
