Dawn C. Luckhard

Luckhard, Dawn C. Birch Run, Michigan Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece and cousin, passed away early Thursday, August 13, 2015, at Select Specialty, following a lengthy illness. Age 56 years. Dawn Shephard was born February 7, 1959, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Bernadine (Neveau) and Billy Shephard. She graduated from Bridgeport High School with the Class of 1977. She had been employed by Farm Bureau Credit Union for several years. Dawn enjoyed baking and cooking. She was a very caring woman, always willing to help others. Dawn married Loren J. Luckhard on December 15, 1979, at Faith Lutheran Church in Bridgeport. He survives her. She also leaves their son, Joshua Luckhard; a brother, Derek Shephard; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl Luckhard, Luana Luckhard and Daniel Kuhlman; many nieces, nephews, and their families; aunts and uncles, Marcia Shephard, Janet and Jim Shephard, Linda and Tom Smith; several cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her parents-in-law, Edgar and Hannah Luckhard, and by a sister-in-law, Juanita Kuhlman. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday August 17, 2015, at Faith Lutheran Church 4241 Williamson Road, Bridgeport. Rev. William Hessler will officiate. Burial will take place in the Nelson Cemetery, Fremont Township. Dawn's family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday and then on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. www.casefuneralhome.com
