Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully, with her daughter by her side, on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Babion’s Adult Foster Care. She was 66 years old. Denise Ann Fiting was born on May 29, 1954, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Elmer and Vivian (Bonnell) Fiting. After the passing of her mother, she was raised by her father and step-mother, Alma. Denise was in the Lutheran faith, receiving Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion at St. Peter Lutheran Church. She was a faithful member of the Breckenridge United Methodist Church. Denise married the love of her life, Jack Rinz on October 21, 1972; he preceded her in death on March 16, 1996. Denise enjoyed drawing, writing, sending well wishes through the mail, and calling everyone she ever loved and cared about. She also enjoyed making salmon patties and Texas sheet cake. Denise was a food connoisseur and enjoyed her turkey sandwiches, enchiladas from Maria’s, and drinking an ice cold iced-tea. She will forever be remembered for her love of family, her kind heart, and for being a “hoot” to be around. Denise was an advocate for mental health and found comfort from reading Psalm 30 “Sing to the Lord, all you godly ones! Praise His holy name. For Hs anger lasts only a moment, bur His favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning.”
