Dennis Richard Ritz

Ritz, Dennis Richard Hemlock, MI Beloved husband, father, brother and uncle passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June12, 2014, age 54. He was born on March 24, 1960, the eldest son of Sandra (Talmadge) and the late Richard (Dick) Ritz of Conklin, MI. He married the love of his life, Anne Marie (Mahoney) on September 30, 1989. He graduated from General Motors Institute in1983 and was a brother of Sigma Chi, Zeta Theta Chapter. He spent his entire career of 36 years with General Motors, 25 years at Saginaw Malleable Iron and 11years as Manager of the Melting Department and Pattern Shop at Saginaw Metal Casting Operations. Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, Harleys, draft horses, grilling and cast iron cooking. Dennis was a devoted member and trustee of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hemlock, MI. He is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Anne Marie and son, Abe, of Hemlock, MI; his brothers, Don (Teresa) Ritz of Nunica, MI, Doug (Kim) Ritz of Hudsonville, MI; his sisters, Debbie (Tom) Holland of Jenison, MI, Diana (Chuck) Miller of Wausau, WI, his loving and devoted mothers and fathers in-law, brothers and sisters in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends from church, work, Sigma Chi, and the Hemlock and Ravenna communities. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday June 16, 2014 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Road, Hemlock. Rev. Dr. William L. Morris and Rev. Richard E. Mundt will officiate with private burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Sunday from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. and on Monday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
