Diane Ruby Volz Burt, Michigan October 1, 1951 - January 8, 2016 Diane Ruby Volz, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to all who knew her, passed in her sleep Friday morning January 8, 2016, at the age of 64 years. Born October 1, 1951 to the late Richard and Helen (De Forest) La Fond in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1969. Her passions were reading, light gardening, her Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions. Later in life she became enthralled with the world of social networking. She loved getting together with her sisters and "girls night out" with her gal pals. Diane's greatest love was family and spending time with them in any way possible - in person, by phone, text messaging or through social media. Diane had a way of easily striking up a conversation with any one and making friends with new acquaintances and perfect strangers. Diane is survived by her husband Matt, daughter Tracy (Robert) Robinson, sons Brandon and David Kellett, grandchildren Brittany, Brianna and Brendan Robinson, sisters Dawn (Tom) Callaghan and Debra (Jim) La Fond, brothers Dennis (Wendy) La Fond, Duane (Marsha) La Fond and Dale (Sue) La Fond, Aunt Ruby & Uncle Don Hodges, her second family, the entire Volz clan, countless other nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws too numerous to mention. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2016, at the W.L. Case Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Fr. John Johnson will officiate the service. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and then on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
