Dianne Carol Mathey of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital. She was 75 years old. Dianne Carol Trim was born on December 1, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Lawrence and Ellen (Turner) Trim. She was a graduate of St. Charles High School. Dianne met the love of life, Danny K. Mathey, while at the Twilight Drive-In Movie Theater as a 14-year-old girl. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on August 21, 1965, in Saginaw; he preceded her in death December 3, 2021. The role of her lifetime was to be a loving wife and stay-at-home mother. Above all, Dianne loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her kindness and the love she gave to her family and friends.
Surviving are three children: Rhonda (Steve Pollick) Hamelink of St. Charles; Daniel "Boone" (Jennifer) Mathey of Birch Run; Kimberlee (Matthew) Aldrich of St. Charles; six grandchildren: Kevin, Karrah, Blake, Molli, Kaitlyn, and Brayden; two great-grandchildren: Myla and Zoie; three sisters and one brother; a lifelong best friend, Sharon Willson of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny K. Mathey; parents, Lawrence and Ellen Trim.
Honoring Dianne's wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until the time of the service.
