Villanova, Dolores Figueroa Saginaw, Michigan Dolores passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Covenant Harrison, age 92 years. She was born March 10, 1920, in Valle De Santiago, Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico the daughter of the late Luz and Concepcion (Garcia) Figueroa, coming to the United States when she was eight years old. She was employed at Daily Pickle Factory, Eventide Home, St. Francis Home and retired from First Savings and Loan. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Scrabble, cards and going to the casino. Dolores was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was always there to help those in need and made their lives better for it. She was surrounded her entire life with children, both her own and others. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Herlinda M. Prather and Christine (Frank) Camargo; grandchildren, Michael (Monica) Villanova, Jodi McLeod, Ronald Villanova, Melinda (David) Ornelas, Marlena (John) Wegener, Sara Becerril, Christopher and Vicente Villanova; great-grandchildren, Thomas Michael, Jasmine, Marcello, Cecelia, Veronica, Ron, Jr., Cervando, Jessica, Lola, Ariel, Timothy, Jalyn, Seeara, Aaden, Chase, Latham, Lalani, Ariana and Mya; the Llamas family, who were more like sons and daughters then great nieces and nephews, including her "second" son, Victor (Donna) Llamas and family, Michael, Christopher, Adam and Alicia; her special friends, Nancy Prather and family, Raquel Paramo and Frances Jimenez. Dolores was predeceased by her husbands, Herminio Pelayo and Thomas M. Villanueva; her brothers and sisters, Rafael, Ruperto, Jesus, Mercedes, Virginia and Joventina; her son, Tomas M. Villanueva, II and her son-in-law, Earl L. Prather. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to all Covenant Health Care Staff in 4 North, 4 East, TCU, CCU and Select Specialty for the care they gave to Dolores The funeral mass will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 915 N. 6th Street. Rev. Fr. Frank Voris, O.F.M., Cap. will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Co., 201 N. Miller Rd. Sunday from 2:00 9:00 p.m. where they may join the family at 7:00 p.m. for a parish vigil service. Friends may also call at church Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
