Dona Mary Lou Weiler of St. Charles, Michigan
Beloved sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2020, at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper. She was 75 years old. Dona Mary Weiler was born on May 8, 1944, in Alpena, Michigan to the late Ralph and Kathryn (Yuker) Jacobs. She married the love of her life and soul mate, Richard J. Weiler on November 26, 1966; he preceded her in death on June 19, 2014. Dona was kind, compassionate, and a caretaker by nature. Her parents owned and operated a sawmill within Fremont Township, and as they grew older, Dona loving cared for all of their needs. Anyone that ever knew or met her loved her and they were blessed with a friendship for life. Above all, Dona treasured and cherished the daily trips to Hemlock where she and her friends would meet up for lunch at various restaurants throughout the village.
Surviving are a sister, Karen (Gene) Roberson of Midland; beloved Shih Zhu, Scotty; aunt, Lyla Wyman of Alpena; cousin, Glynn (Dawn) Wyman and their daughter, Maddie of Midland; special friends: William and Kathy Rousseau of St. Charles; Amy and Mike Hill of St. Charles. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her two Pomeranians, Charlie and Rufus.
A private funeral service will take place at on Friday, May 1, 2020, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Pastor Mike Kelley will officiate. Burial will take place at Fremont Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.
