Boyce, Donald A. Saginaw, MI
Passed away on October 20, 2015 following a short illness in Hilo, HI, age 94 years. He was born on December 5, 1920, son of the late Harry J. and Meta (Schultz) Boyce, in Bay City. Donald married Margaret Hagle on September 18, 1948. She predeceased him on March 28, 1988. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp and retired from the City of Saginaw after over 30 years of service. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post #22, and active with the DAV, VFW and Moose Lodge. Donald enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing and camping with his children. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
Surviving are his children, Tammy Lynn Williams, Vassar, Jan (Robert) Boyce Ray, Kea'au, HI, James A. Boyce, Tecumseh, MI and Robert H. Boyce, Ft. Myers, FL; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; his companion, Ann Howard; also many other special relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife Margaret, he was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Michael Furland.
Memorial service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at W. L. Case and Company 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Honoring Donald's wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a charity of their choice.
