Donald A. Schade, age 83 passed away last Thursday evening November 1, 2018. He was born July 27, 1935 to the late Hilda (Schlitt) and Russell Schade. Don grew up in Saginaw. He attended South School and Arthur Hill H.S., class of 53.
Don was employed by Consumers Power, retiring with 25 years of service. At the time of retirement, he was living in Lake City, MI where he resided for sixteen years until he settled in San Antonio, TX. Don enjoyed listening to the radio; he especially liked traditional country music and The Grand Ole Opry. Don was outgoing and very friendly. He loved visiting with people, and he was always there to lend a helping hand for someone in need.
Don was predeceased by his son, William Schade of Wisconsin; his brother, Robert E. Schade Sr. of Saginaw; and his nephew, Robert E. Schade Jr. of Freeland.
Don leaves behind his wife, Gloria, San Antonio; his son, Dennis Schade; and granddaughter, Emilie Schade, San Jose, CA; son, Jim Schade of Wisconsin; along with a niece Nancy Schade Marsh of Highland MI; and friend, Nancy Schade of Lake City, MI.
A memorial is planned for a later date.
