Donald "Don" Edward Hall of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side on Thursday, August 3, 2023. Donald E. Hall was born on October 15, 1933, in Pontiac, Michgian, to the late Alivin and Helen (Rock) Hall. He was a proud graduate of Pontian Central High School. Following graduation, Don enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he honorably served his country during the Korean War. He met the love of his life, Carol Lea Tharp, while attending a Valentine's Day dance in school. Upon his return from the military, Don and Carol were united in marriage in Jun of 1955; she preceded him in death on; May 27, 2022. He was employed at General Motors where he became a journey electrician. Don then became the owner and operator of Hall Electric, retiring after many years of loyal and dedicated service. Following retirement, Don liked to stay active and busy, even building a house. His little piece of heaven was taking care of his dogs, spending time with his family, especially his wife, Carol, and golfing. Don also enjoyed tinkering around the house.

Surviving are three children: Diane (Ray) Kelley, Don (Nancy) Hall, Delaine (Scott) Lewis; eight grandchildren: Matthew, Erica, Samantha, Kenneth, Amber, Megan, David, and Brendan; many great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; daughter, Denise (Kenneth) Woodmore; parents, Alvin and Helen Hall; and 11 brothers and sisters.

Honoring Donald's wishes, cremation has taken place. He and Carol will be interred together at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
