Donald George White Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at the age of 83 years. Donald was born June 20, 1934, in Saginaw to the late George and Harriett (Watson) White. Don moved to Bay City in January of 1969. He graduated from Arthur Hill technical High School in 1952 and later from Greer Shop training in Chicago. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Evelyn Reuhland in March of 1955. After 60 years of marriage she predeceased him July 3, 2015. He previously worked at Shear tool and gauge and in the body shop at Hickey Oldsmobile. He retired from General Motors in June of 1996. Don was a long-time member of St. Johns Lutheran Church Amelith. He enjoyed bird watching, talking about the "good old days", watching old stuff on TV, collecting miniature vehicles, listening to old time country gospel music, and bragging about his children and grandchildren. In his younger years he enjoyed camping, bicycling, motor trips, and dancing to country music. Most of all he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow and flourish in the Lords grace. He is survived by his children, Rebecca Moquin and Robert (Deirdra) White; grandchildren, Adam (Rachel) White, Lance Moquin, Eric (Katelin) Moquin, Caitlin (Chad Dunham) White, Travis Moquin, and Erin Burdis; great-grandchildren, Gideon White, Clay Moquin, Jahna Grace White, Alethea Moquin, and Leo Moquin. He was predeceased by his sister Marcia White. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Stephen Starke will officiate with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
