Donald J. Kinasz

Donald J. Kinasz Spaulding Township Passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at his home. Age 80 years. The son of the late Cecile (Theriault) and Joseph Kinasz was born January 26, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. He Married Mary Ann McGee, July 15, 1961. His wife of 56 years survives him. He was employed by General Motors, Saginaw Steering Gear retiring in 1996 with 34 years of service. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. He was a member of the U.A.W. Retirees and enjoyed traveling up north. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving besides his wife, Mary Ann, are four children and their spouses, Jeff and Debra Kinasz; Julie and Kirk Stumberg; Steven and Buffy Kinasz; Kathy Kinasz; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Ryan and Kristi Kinasz; Jeffrey Kinasz Jr. and his wife, Stacy; Kevin Kinasz; Jacob Kinasz; Alyssa and Adam Newman; Grant Gunderson; Rachel Gunderson; his great granddaughters, Lily, Maddie and Sloan Kinasz; two sisters-in-law and their spouses, Marlene and Ron Bass; Kathleen McGee and Keely Mounger; his niece and nephew, Tina Kinasz; Brad and Dana Kinasz; several cousins and other family members. Two brothers, one sister and a sister-in-law have predeceased him. The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi, 3680 S. Washington Rd. Saginaw, MI. Rev. Thomas Schmied O.F.M. CAP and Rev. Frank Voris O.F.M. CAP. will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Church from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
