Donald Jay "Don" Hill of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at his home. He was 65 years old. Donald Jay Hill was born on May 24, 1953 in Saginaw to the late Albert and Pennie (Smith) Hill. He married his childhood sweetheart, Pamela Kay Seegmiller on December 24, 1971; she survives him. Don proudly served his country by enlisting into the United States Army from 1971 to 1992, receiving many accommodations, medals and awards. Following his military career, Don began working for Weilands Trucking for 16 years, retiring in April 2015. He lived his life to the fullest, often trying to get that next adrenaline-rush. Whether it was riding his beloved Harley Davidson or skydiving as a paratrooper, Don could always find action. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking and going shooting with his family. Above all, Don loved and cherished his wife, children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela Kay Hill of Saginaw; two sons and one daughter, Donald J. (Katrina) Hill, II, Amy Lynn Hill of Saginaw and Michael P. (Meghan) Hill of Saginaw; six grandchildren, Bryson (Ashley) Buchanan, Jerret Scott, Shawn Desbiens, Dominic Barron, Tyler Hill and Liam Hill; two great-grandchildren, DeeQuavise Buchanan and Micah Buchanan; two brothers, Albert Hill, Jr. and John Hill; a sister, Patti Hall; two brothers-in-law: Michael Seegmiller and Keith (Katrina) Seegmiller; very special family friends, Fred and Joann Turner. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law, James Hall and Patrick Seegmiller, sister-in-law, Lynn Flores and his father and mother-in-law.
Honoring Donalds wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Dons life will take place on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Zilwaukee Community Hall, 530 W. Fisher, Zilwaukee, Michigan, 48604 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Pamela K. Hill.
