Muttscheler, Donald Marvin Saginaw, Michigan Beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away suddenly Tuesday evening, February 19, 2013, at Covenant Cooper, surrounded by his loving family. Age 70 years. Don was born July 2, 1942, in Saginaw, the son of the late Edith C. (DeForest) and Harold J. Muttscheler Sr. He served with the US Navy for four years. He was a veteran of the City of Saginaw Fire Department for 25 years, retiring as Battalion Chief in 1992. He worked part time with W. L. Case & Company Funeral Directors for 17 years. Don was an active member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Saginaw Firefighters Local 102, retired, American Legion Post #439, and U.R.G.E. #2. His hobbies included the computer, watching Detroit baseball games, golf, playing cards, perch fishing, and spending time with family, grandchildren and friends. He married Joyce Ann Guest on August 1, 1964; she predeceased him June 4, 2012. Surviving are two daughters, Tammy and Ron Weighman, and Kelly and Jim Kujawa; four grandchildren, Kyle Kujawa, Jarrid Weighman, Kaelyn Kujawa, and Kensey Kujawa; grandpuppies, Skippy and Maverick, and grandkitty, Reba; one sister, Beverly J. Boynton, Kalamazoo; several nieces, nephews and their families. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Eugene N. Muttscheler and Harold J. Muttscheler Jr. Memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where his family will receive friends from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Friday and then on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Rev. Carl T. Otto will officiate. Burial will take place later at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Paul's Ev.
