Donna Jean Beuthin of Hemlock, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, July 17, 2021. She was 86 years old. Donna Jean McLeod was born on May 5, 1935, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Charles Tabor and Viola M. (Woodbury) McLeod. She married Charles W. Beuthin on January 8, 1955; he preceded her in death on August 10, 2015. She was employed by the Hemlock School District as the head cook, retiring in 1992 after 20 years of loyal and dedicated service. Donna enjoyed taking trips to many of Michigan’s casinos. She also enjoyed attending country music concerts and collecting antique dolls. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her affection, her loving and kind heart, and for selflessly putting others before herself.
Surviving are two sons: Michael (Denise) Beuthin of Merrill; and Douglass (Theresa) Beuthin of Hemlock; six grandchildren: Donald Blodgett, David Blodgett, Douglas (Jacinda) Beuthin, Jr., Christopher (Jessica) Beuthin, Michael (Chandra) Beuthin, Jr. and Jeffery Beuthin; six great-grandchildren: Natilee, Trinity, Michael III, Charles, Peighton, and Cora; three sisters and two brothers: Carole A. (Eugene) Gwizala, Dale L. (Connie) McLeod, Gail M. (William) Poineau, Vicky V. (James) Konecny, and Randy L. (Connie) McLeod. A brother-in-law, Rev. Raymond John Beuthin.
She was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter: Charles Beuthin, II, Julie Blodgett, and Steven Beuthin; three brothers and three sisters: Charles T. McLeod Jr., Bobby McLeod, Betty McLeod, Terry R. McLeod Sr., Nancy L. McLeod, and Sue A. McLeod-Coral-Canada.
A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Rob Richard will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
