Donna Jean Watson Merrill, Michigan Loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home, Saturday June 4, 2016, surrounded by her family. Age 86 years. The daughter of the late Adolph and Frances (Caukin) Rosewig was born August 20, 1929 in Lakefield Twp. Michigan. She married Floyd Richard Watson, June 12, 1948. He passed away October 4, 2015. Donna Jean and her husband engaged in farming in the Merrill area. She was a member of Merrill Congregational Church. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, camping and traveling. Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her family. Surviving are three children, Bill (Sue) Watson, Freeland, Bonnie (Leonard) Krueger, Hemlock and Bob(Debbie) Watson, Merrill; nine grandchildren, Kelly (Kevin) McDonald, Comstock Park, Sara (Shawn) Maison, Rose City, Stacey (Adam) Ranck, Shepard, Leonard (Lou Ann) Krueger, Todd (Sue) Krueger, Pauline Tallon, all of Hemlock, Alan (Val) Watson, Hemlock, Jeff Watson, San Francisco and Kimberly (David) Roberts, Grants Pass, Oregon; 21 great-grandchildren, Kate, Kenzie, Sierra, Scarlet, Henry, Abraham, Sam, Maggie, Lyndsey, Augie, Logan, Ben, Rachel, Darby, Gabe, Gavin, Olivia, Claire, Chloe, Allie Mae and Ava; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Watson and Dorothy Passow; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters and a brother, Marion Brush, Gladys Nohel, Alice Watson and Glen Passow. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Directors, in Merrill. Rev. Richard Gossett will officiate with burial in Lakefield Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel in Merrill from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday.
