Donna Louise Bigelow

Donna Louise Bigelow Merrill, Michigan Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, April 9, 2017. Age 81 years. The daughter of the late Mable (Bowling) and Samuel Fountain was born August 31, 1935 in Hemlock, Michigan. She married Larry D. Bigelow, August 30, 1952. He survives her. Donna had owned and operated Donna's Beauty Shop for 30 years. She had been a member of Lakefield Wesleyan Church and then attended Merrill Congregational Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, particularly euchre, and going to the casino. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid fan of the Michigan State Spartans, Detroit Tigers and the Loons. Surviving besides her husband, Larry, are four children and their spouses, Cherrie Lamont, Merrill, MI; Chris and Sharon Bigelow, Eaton Rapids, MI; Calvin and Annette Bigelow, Wheeler, MI; Charmin and Kirk Santhany, Holland, MI; 11 grandchildren, Ricky Lamont and Beth; Trisha Lamont and Scott; Ryan and Stephanie Lamont; Robbie Lamont and Trish; Carrie and Jeff Nohel; Holly Bigelow; Sara and Joel Meier; Annette and Aaron Copeland; Sam and Miranda Bigelow; Shayne Bigelow; Kalie Santhany; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; one sister, JoAnna Hansen; several nieces and nephews. A granddaughter, Kelsie Rose Santhany, a son-in-law, Rick Lamont, and two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Orval and Inez Fountain, Leo and Mary Fountain have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel in Merrill. Donna's nephew, Brian Welsh will officiate with burial in Lakefield Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel in Merrill from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and then on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
