Donna M. Albrecht

Donna Albrecht Bridgeport, Michigan Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 17, 2016, age 89 years. She was born on February 13, 1927, daughter of the late Albert and Pauline (Willee) Murray. Donna married the love of her life, Lee Albrecht, Sr. on July 21, 1945. He survives her. She was an active member of Bridgeport Community Church and its choir. She had also served on the Board of Trustees and as Treasurer. Donna taught Sunday and Vacation Bible School. She was a Girl Scout Leader and was a member of the Young People's Youth Group. Donna enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband Lee and displayed her beautiful voice in musicals. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Besides Lee, her husband of 71 years, she is survived by her children, Suzanne (Ray) Schell, Linda (Bob) Bishop, Annette (Larry) Kirkpatrick, Vicki (Daniel) Apperson and Lee (Linda) Albrecht, Jr.; 26 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; her brother, Albert (Bud) Murray of Al; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Frances Scanlon and her brother, John Murray. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Reverence Home Health and Hospice. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State St. in Bridgeport. Pastor Ron L. Sinclair will officiate with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company 5700 Dixie Highway and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Bridgeport Community Church.
