Donna M. Cittel was born April 22, 1933 to Milan and Ann Cittel and grew to womanhood in Bridgeport, MI. She retired from the Buick Motor Division financial department after thirty six and one half years of service. She was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church, in AuGres, MI; where she was a lay minister and served in many other volunteer activities. She was also a member of St Marys Hospital Auxiliary and the Queen Of Angels Retreat League where she volunteered for many years. Donna married Don Hamilton on Sept. 22, 1951. He predeceased her on March 26, 1963. She married Earl Sammons May 22, 1970. He predeceased her on April 30, 1981. Her brother, Milan J. Cittel also has predeceased her. Surviving are one sister-in-law Patricia Cittel, one niece Janis (Michael) Rump; three nephews, James (Mary) Cittel, Bradley B. Cittel, and Mark (Stephanie) Cittel. Three great nephews, Tyler Rump, Bradley II, and Derek Cittel and two great nieces, Kaylee and Paige Cittel also survive her. Funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3680 S. Washington Rd. Fr. Thomas Schmied, OFM, Cap. will officiate with burial at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie HWY on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. where a vigil will take place at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimers Association, a hospice of your choice or the Donna M. Sammons Endowment Fund for Catholic Education.
