Donna M. Michela

Donna M. Michela Prudenville, Michigan Formerly of Saginaw and Frankenmuth Went home to be with her Lord, Friday, March 9, 2018, surrounded by her family. Age 90 years. The daughter of the late Mathilda (Schuette) and Herbert Nieman was born April 15, 1927 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a graduate of Saginaw High School, Class of 1945. She married Clarence Michela, May 20, 1949. He survives her. Mr. and Mrs. Michela owned and operated the M&D Food store for over 40 years. After retirement, they moved to Frankenmuth and later to Houghton Lake. Donna was a former member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Saginaw, and currently a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Houghton Lake. She enjoyed sewing and bird watching, but most of all her family. Surviving besides her husband, Clarence, are three children and their spouses, Bob and Mary Michela; Tami and Chuck Koval; Kip and Linda Michela; her grandchildren, Jen and Jeff Mylock; Lisa Michela; Laura Michela; Gina Borchers; Jeff Borchers; Ashley and Danny Barberi; Britt and Eric Tunney; her great grandchildren, Alayna Mylock; Rowan Barberi; Vada Barberi; Kallen Tunney; Mariella Tunney; several nieces and nephews. A brother, Karl Nieman, and a son-in-law, John Borchers, have predeceased her. Private family services will be held. www.casefuneralhome.com
