Donna J. Madison

Donna J. (Petrimoulx) (Henning) Madison, 92 years old, passed away on June 5, 2023, at Chesaning Comfort Care surrounded by her family. That would have been her and Chuck’s 75th Anniversary. The daughter of the late Fred and Julia (Gonyaw) Petrimoulx. Donna was born on January 9, 1931, in Saginaw Michigan. She married Charles J. Henning Jr. on June 5, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan; he preceded her in death on January 18, 1963. She loved butterflies, birds, and crafts. Wherever she lived, if there was a patio/balcony it would be adorned with solar lights, sparklies etc. She enjoyed flower gardening if space was available, at her apartment. She enjoyed traveling, family gatherings, playing cards, and playing the piano/organ. Donna learned to play instruments by ear at a young age and enjoyed playing the organ for church, event gatherings, and in her later years at the senior housing complex she lived. She would open her window/door for the music to filter out so others could enjoy it also. With limited vision, she continued playing till the end.

She is survived by 4 daughters: Jean Greene, Linda Vogelaar, Carrie (Vern) Trzil, Tina Sinko; 6 sons: Charles Henning, Fred (Cheryl) Henning, Robert (Linda) Henning, Joseph (Darlene) Henning, Brian Henning, Kevin (Minerva) Henning; and a daughter-in-law, Becky Henning. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Betty Jegla, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Terry Henning, a daughter-in-law, Mary Henning, two sons-in-law: Jerry Greene and John Sinko, grandson, Fred Henning Jr, a granddaughter, Monica Labelle, a granddaughter-in-law, Colleen Kelbey, and a great-grandson, Austin Clever. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Thelma, Dorothy, Theresa, Maxine, Fred Jr, Donald, and John.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road.  Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials the wishes of the family.
