Donna Peters

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Ascension St. Mary's, with her family at her side; at the age of 82 years.
The daughter of the late Sidney and Louise (Pomperney) Varney, Donna was born on August 6, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Paul Peters on August 22, 1956, in Saginaw, Michigan; he preceded her in death on September 14, 2006. She enjoyed working in the garden, baking and cooking. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Surviving are five sons and two daughters: Paula Peters; Harvey Peters; Jim Peters; Roger (Janet) Peters; Norman (Chris) Peters; Frank (Stella) Peters; Grace Peters; twenty-seven grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Francis Varney, Debbie Varney. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Besides her husband and her parents; Donna was preceded in death by a son: Alan Peters; a granddaughter: Donna May Peters; five brothers and three sisters.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Saginaw Wesleyan Church, 2125 Shattuck Road, Saginaw. Rev. Robert Tibbits will officiate. Burial will take place on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2021, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw; and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity is limited to 25 persons, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged.
