Doris May Billeter

Doris May Billeter of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 13, 2024 at St. Francis Home of Saginaw. She was 93 years old. Doris May Neiderquill was born on November 4, 1931, to the late Godfred and Linda (Kraatz) Neiderquill. She was a proud 1949 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Doris married the love of her life, Waynard Billeter, her husband of 67 years, on September 9, 1950; he preceded her in death on June 6, 2018. The role of her lifetime, one she treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted wife and stay at home mother. She was employed later as a clerk with Adam’s Pharmacy, serving 18 years of loyal and dedicated service. Doris was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. When she wasn’t spending time with her family, she enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo, and going to the casino. Doris also loved shopping, listening to music and watching Detroit Tigers baseball. She will forever be remembered for a smile that could warm hearts, for her kind spirit, for her selflessness to anyone in need, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.

Surviving are a son and daughter, Wayne (Susan) Billeter of Saginaw; Paula Billeter of Saginaw. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to mention but held close to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Waynard Billeter; parents, Godfred and Linda Neiderquill; a brother, John Neiderquill; three sisters, Mary Salesky, Carol Enszer, Sandra Brewer; sister-in-law, Lila Weaver.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Heartland Hospice and St. Francis Home for all the love and care they provided to Doris and the family.

Honoring Doris’ wishes entombment has taken place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 950 N. Center Ave. Saginaw, MI 48603.
