Doris Mae Neitzke Merrill, Michigan Passed away December 25, 2015 at the age of 92. Doris was born to Hollie and lone (Frost) McClintic on June 22, 1923. She grew up in the St. Louis and Shepherd area. On May 16, 1944, she paid $2.00 for a license and married Elmer Charles Neitzke. He never repaid her, and she never let him forget that. Elmer served in the Navy and was deployed for 22 months just a few days after their marriage. While Elmer was in the service, Doris lived in St. Louis, working at the Creamery. Upon his return, Elmer and Doris made their home in the Breckenridge/Wheeler area before settling in rural Merrill and raising their six children on their 40 acre farm. After Elmer retired they traveled extensively throughout the United States and spent many winters in Florida. Together they enjoyed fishing, playing cards and visiting with their many friends and relatives. Doris also enjoyed reading, needlework, and baking. She is known especially for her pies and her ruthless game play. Her favorite saying was "There are no friends in cards". Doris was predeceased by Elmer on November 19, 2005. She is survived by her children, Philip (Beverly) Neitzke, Holly (John) Goschka, Beverlee (Lee) Glazier, Karen (Randy) Radosa, Tom (Ginger) Neitzke and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Neitzke. She also leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Tim Neitzke, Jill (Rick) Crofoot, Corey Goschka, Shelly (Bonzi Saycosie) Goschka, Seth (Jessica Davis) Goschka, Betsy (Andy) DuFort, Megan (Ryan) Stelzer, Sara (Matthew) Yonkey, Michael (Sarah) Glazier, Nikolas (Lilly) Neitzke, Casey (Marie) Neitzke, Ronald (Matalie) Neitzke, Jessica (Matt) Fordos, Erin (Casey) Colpean, Jamie (Travis Betts) Radosa, and Danielle (Nick Strong) Radosa. Also, her great grandchildren, Kimo Lemn, Brittney and Zackrey Crofoot, Candace, John and Corey Goschka, Charles and Clark DuFort, Claire and Edward Stelzer, Owen, Alyson and Isaac Yonkey, Karmichael Glazier, Addison and Lexie Fordos, Dilyn and Kellin Colpean, her great-great-grandson Kimo Lemn, Jr. She was predeceased by her son, Ronald Neitzke, daughter-in-law, Lynn and grandchildren, Kathryn Glazier and Burke Neitzke. Doris is also survived by her siblings, Sharon (Ed) Sura and Don (lIah) McClintic. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and James McClintic and sisters, Alice Simonovic, Frances McCune and an infant sister. Doris will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews, her Jam Store Friends, The Eighties Ladies, and many friends and neighbors. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 10020 East Monroe Rd., Wheeler, MI. Rev. Larry A. Warsinski will officiate with burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Breckenridge. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, Merrill on Monday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at church, from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
