Dorothy A. Morlik (Bomboske) Frankenmuth, Michigan Formerly of Carrollton, Michigan Beloved wife and mother passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side at St. Mary's Hospital, Thursday, May 8, 2014. Age 90 years. The daughter of the late Edward R. and Dorothy A. (Schimmer) Bomboske was born February 26, 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Andrew L. Morlik, August 29, 1953. He passed away August 18, 2008. Dorothy graduated from Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1942. She was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone before starting a family. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church, volunteered with Meals on Wheels, enjoyed camping and traveling with family and friends, and playing cards with friends and neighbors. She was an excellent seamstress and crocheted many many afghans. She loved reading in her later years. Surviving are her two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Ronald Kern, Frankenmuth, MI; Janet and Michael Phelps, Grand Blanc, MI; four grandchildren, Tanya and Julia Kern; Adam and Izabela Phelps; a great grand-daughter, Annabella Phelps. She was predeceased by a brother, a sister and their spouses, Edward Bomboske Jr. and his wife, Merle; Marie and Frank Brink. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church, 121 S. Harrison St. Saginaw. Dr. Robert L. Emrich will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral service.
