Dorothy Louise (Duby) Peters

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 84. She is now at home in the arms of the Lord.

The daughter of the late Julius Becker and Margaret (Nentwig) Becker, Dorothy “Dodo” was born on October 28, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from St. Andrews, class of 1958. Dorothy married Harvey Duby on July 4, 1959. They were married 27 years before he predeceased her and they had 4 children: Steve Duby (who is also predceased), her daughter-in-laws Cathy Acker, and Laura Duby, Tammy McKenzie (Jim), John Duby (Cindy), and Daren Duby (Cherie). She later married Richard Peters in 1992, and were married 6 years before he predeceased her.

Dorothy retired from Weight Watchers as a regional manager after 20 years of service. She had a strong faith in God and enjoyed time with her family. She was a loving matriarch of the Duby family, showing enthusiastic support attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sports and activities at every opportunity. She was always up for an adventure and enjoyed traveling extensively.

Surviving besides her children are her siblings: Fred (Mary Ann) Becker, MaryAnne Krzywosinski, Greg (Cheryl) Becker, grandchildren: Jared Meylan (Cindy), Steve Duby (Jodi), Jake Duby, Luke Duby, Sam McKenzie, and Jesse Duby; great-grandchildren: Charlie, Evie, Wyatt & George Duby, Brady and Chase Meylan, and many nieces and nephews.

Honoring Dorothy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life is planned for eary summer.
