Dorothy Hanson

Hanson, Dorothy Saginaw, Michigan Went home to be with the Lord with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, age 86 years. Dorothy was born on January 31, 1929, in Saginaw, daughter of the late Sidney and Louise (Pomeraning) Varney. She married William Hanson on February 8, 1947, he predeceased her. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered by her beautiful smile. She is survived by her children, Laurie (David) Hodges, Danny (Sharon) Hanson and Harry Hanson; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Donna Peters and her brother, Harry Varney. Besides her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Harold, Lavern, Paul and Kenny Varney; her sisters, Mildred Rembish and Evelyn Marko. Funeral service will take place on 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2015, at Sheridan Road Baptist Church, 6911 Sheridan Road. Rev. Lou Jurva will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 5700 Dixie Highway and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
