Dorothy Jean Haven

Passed away Feb. 6, 2025, at age of 90 years. The daughter of Joseph and Helen M. (Witek) Gembarowski was born November 9, 1934, in Saginaw, MI. She married Daniel A. Haven, June 12, 1954. He predeceased her. She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1952. She was employed by Wolohan Lumber Company as an administrative assistant, retiring after 23 years of service. After retirement, she lived for many years in El Paso, TX and Apache Junction AZ prior to moving to Midland MI. She and her husband spent many hours bowling and watching baseball. Until health prevented, she attended mass weekly wherever she might be and served along with her husband as usher for many years, also spending many hours as a volunteer in church projects.

Surviving is her son and his spouse Dan (Linda) Haven of Midland MI; brother in law Tom Haven, and sisters in law Carol Gembarowski, Helen Laurenz, Bernie Haven, Nancy Haven and Shirley Haven and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her brothers Walter, John and Don Gembarowski, sister Florence Pope, sisters in law Janis Gembarowski, Pat Haven, Liguori (Babe) Moss, Alice Osselame, Ilean Petre and brothers in law Emil Pope, James, Leonard and Joseph Haven, James Laurenz, Allan Moss, William Osselame and Robert Petre.

The funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Saginaw, Mi 48609. Rev. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate. Friends may visit with family from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
