Dorothy Jean Nash

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at her home, with her family at her side; at the age of 83 years. The daughter of the late Albert and Laura May (Lewis) Burns, Dorothy was born on September 5, 1936 in Gould, Arkansas. Dorothy married John Nash in 1977, in Flint, Michigan; he preceded her in death in 2012. Dorothy was a dedicated witness and attended services at The Kingdom Hall, with dedication of going door to door to spread the word, and was baptized in 1968. She enjoyed cooking for her family. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family.
Surviving are children: Joyce (Thorp) Saxton, Lee (Ella Jacob) Allen, Andrew Allen, Theodis Megal Allen; grandchildren: Rodrick (Jessica) Allen, Reggie Powell, Rashonda (Jamyron) Isom, Lamar (Erica) Blackwell, Angela Powell, Paris Ward, Jaramella Allen, Malon Allen: eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters: John Burns, Delores (Jimmy) Stubbs, Linda Burns, Brenda Burns and Thomas Riley, Solomon Burns and Lenios (Gene) Crosby. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by Leroy Burns, David Burns, Reynon Lee Burns, Marice Burns, Calvin Burns, Napolen Burns, Phillis Burns and Sandra Leatherberry.
Due to the Worldwide Health Pandemic, a service will take place with the appropriate measures.
