Fielder, Dorothy M. Saginaw, Michigan On September 10, 2015, Dorothy was united with her Lord and Savior at the age of 91 years. Dorothy Kupres was born on April 22, 1924 to the late Frank and Anna Kupres. She grew up on the family farm in St. Louis, Michigan along with her eight siblings. She met the love of her life, George (Bob) Fielder, and they were married August 2, 1952. He predeceased her in 1990. They loved camping, traveling to the U.P., weekends at Higgins lake and family get-togethers. Dorothy worked at Lufkin Rule for several years and later at Saginaw Steering Gear where she retired in 1985 after 13 years of service. Dorothy was a member of the Catholic faith and was a lifetime member of St. Dominic Parish (SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church). Dorothy always had a huge smile and hug for anyone she met. She never judged, held grudges and was all-forgiving. She loved her grandchildren, game shows but was very frustrated at Sudoku. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Lynn Szepanski, Mary Jo (Roy) Kohlhoff, Dan (Birgitta) Fielder and son-in-law Dennis Funk; grandchildren Patrick (Andrea) Szepanski, Kathleen Szepanski (Troy); Scott, Rachel Kohlhoff; Lacey Funk (Derek), Josh (Holly) Funk, Danny Fielder, Elizabeth (Gerrick) Smith, Suzi (Adam) Johnson, Michael and Kevin Fielder; also 11 great-grandchildren; her sister Polly Kowalski and a special friend, Carol Parcell. She was predeceased by her son, Bob, and daughters Kathy Funk and infant Ruth Ann. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Frank, Louie and John and sisters, Marion, Sophie, Ann and Rose and her brother-in-law Bill. Dorothy's family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Wellspring Hospice and to Dr. Blair and nurse Vickie. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 at St. Dominic Parish (SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church), 4735 W. Michigan. Rev. Stephen Gavit will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L.
