Dorothy Norma Wolfe Saginaw, Michigan
Dorothy was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, February 9, 2018 at her home. Age 94 years.
She was born on December 23, 1923, the first daughter of the late Harold and Elsa (Grandjean) Frahm in Blumfield Twp, Michigan. She married Basil Wolfe, October 19, 1942. Her husband passed away after 72 years of marriage on November 19, 2014. She retired from the Buena Vista School District. She was a member of West Michigan Ave. United Methodist Church (now New Heart United Methodist Church) and the Gideons International Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, painting and making ceramics. Surviving are three children and their spouses, Carol Ann (Lawrence) Roy, Avon Park, FL; Thomas Wolfe, Freeland, MI; Christine (Robert) Haskins, Blacksburg, VA; ten grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; a sister and a brother, Lois (Ralph) Fredericks; Dale (Bernice) Frahm; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Paula, and by six brothers, Alvin, Stuart, Carl, Donald, Arthur and Burton Frahm and one sister, Vernis Welling.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the New Heart United Methodist, 1802 W. Michigan Ave. Saginaw. Pastor Melene Wilsey will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the New Heart United Methodist Church or the Gideons International.
