Dorothy V. Owen

Dorothy went home to the loving arms of the Lord and the family before her, on Friday, October 6, 2023. Age 94 years.

Dorothy was born on April 26, 1929, daughter of the late George and Beatrice (Braman) Weighman, in Saginaw. She married Morris Owen on June 11, 1948. He predeceased her on September 1, 2013. Dorothy retired from Fullerton Tool after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed listening to gospel music. Dorothy enjoyed being outdoors. Whether it was traveling, camping, bird watching, reading, gardening or pulling weeds, she just couldn’t be indoors much. She loved and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy will be remembered for her loving, nurturing heart and feisty personality.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter-in-law, Polly Owen; grandchildren, Shawn (Sean) Seabase, Shannon (Steve) Ochoa, Ryan Owen, Scott (Amanda) Owen, Karen (Paul) DeJager and Lori (Brian) Burnell; many great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Elmer Owen; sister-in-law, Florence Owen; also, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, David and George Owen and all of her siblings.

Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on October 20, 2023, at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
