Doulgas G. Anderson

Beloved husband, father, grandfather great grandfather passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper, with family at his side; at the age of 80 years.
The son of Floyd “Pete” and Catherine Jane (Bouchey) Anderson, Doug was born on February 25, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Saginaw High School in 1959. Doug married Nancy L. Yeomans on November 2, 1959: she survives him. He worked at Baker Perkins as plant security then finished out his career working security at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. Doug also served at the Saginaw Police Dept. as Auxiliary in the 1970s. He was a member of the First Church of God in Saginaw for most of his life. Through out the years Doug enjoyed fishing, playing Euchre, spelling and definition of words and medical terminology, and especially enjoyed family gatherings.
Surviving besides his wife of 62 years, Nancy; are their children: Christine L. (Munger) Anderson, Douglas A. Anderson, Vincent M. Anderson and Jeannette M. (Lawrence) Anderson. Also surviving are grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, two sisters; Jeanne (Steve) Husman and Darline (Bob) Mikoleizik; and three sisters-in-law: Winnie Porath, Barbara Rosinski, Shirley Yeomans.
Honoring Doug’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48603. Rev. David Van Norman will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral chapel.
