Douglas Scott Heitkamp

Passed away suddenly, Sunday, March 9, 2025. Age 66 years.

The son of Iris Rae (Moore) Heitkamp was born June 23, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan.

He married Linda Zietz, October 6, 1984. She survives him. Douglas served with the U. S. Navy and was employed by Dow Corning Medical, in Hemlock, retiring with 32 years of service. He enjoyed golf, fishing and spending time at their cottage on Round Lake.

Surviving besides his wife and mother are a son and daughter-in-law, Jarrod and Kayla Heitkamp;

three grandchildren, Karissa, Jace and Emily; a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Scott Babinski; a niece and her husband, Amanda and Howard Northrup; a great niece and great nephew, Eliza and Henry. A son, Alexander Scott Heitkamp, predeceased him in 2008.

Private memorial service will be held. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Peter Lutheran School, Hemlock.
