Douglas M. Jahn

Douglas “Doug” Michael Jahn, Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, March 24, 2025. Doug was born on May 29, 1954, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Robert G. and Dorothy H. (Kolb) Jahn. He was a 1972 graduate of Arthur Hill High School and a proud Spartan, graduating from Michigan State University in 1984. Doug met the love of his life, Michele M. Crovella, while both were coaching soccer. They fell in love and were united in marriage on July 2, 1999; she survives him. He was employed by Nexteer (formerly Saginaw Steering Gear, Delphi) and retired in January 2020 after 40+ years of dedicated and awarded service. Doug loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and dogs (Remi and Ruger). An avid outdoorsman, Doug looked forward to trips to the family cottage. He enjoyed boating, water sports, cars, motorcycles, and working on anything with a motor.

Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Michele Jahn; three children: Michael Jahn, Kristen (Terrance) Jahn, and Nikolas “Nick” (Stephanie) Hopp; four grandchildren: Mason, Corbin, Liem, and Luke; a brother, Bruce (Cindy) Jahn; a sister, Carol (Ned) Cook; a brother-in-law, Michael (Susan) Crovella; a sister-in-law, Tina (Rick) Bowker. Also surviving are many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Nathaniel “Nate” Michael Hopp; a brother, David Jahn; parents, Robert and Dorothy Jahn; and mother-in-law, Carole Crovella.

Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the W. L.
