Duane "Dooie" Nelson Hunn Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan 

Passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center. He was 82 years old. Duane Nelson Hunn was born on January 14, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Frederick W. Hunn and Eva M. (Browning) Bolf. He was a 1961 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Following graduation, he served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. Dooie was an accomplished musician and disc jockey in Michigan. He was also employed with the Saginaw Board of Education as an electrician. Dooie taught himself how to fly and became a certified flight instructor, and used his passion to teach other people throughout the country how to fly gyroplanes. 

Surviving are a son, Duane Nelson Hunn Jr. of Auburn; two grandchildren: Gabrielle Hunn of Grand Rapids; Christopher Hunn of Mount Pleasant; a sister, Kay Kutchinski of Saginaw. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Eva Hunn.
