Dwane E. Mott

Mott, Dwane Elwood South Branch, Michigan Our loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Monday, August 10, 2015, after a long fight with MS. Age 72 years. Dwane was born on February 18, 1943, son of the late Bruce and Irene (Sells) Mott, in Saginaw. He married Joan Lee Shaver on July 27, 1984, she survives him. He was a Yard Master for the CSX Railroad (formerly Chessie System), retiring in 2000 after 39 years of service. Throughout his years, Dwane enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing, in which he was pretty lucky recording 3 Hole in Ones. He also enjoyed shooting a good game of pool and spending time with his family. Besides his wife Joan, he is survived by his children, Randy Mott, Saginaw, Jay Mott, Maderia Beach, FL, Kelly and Randy Biermaker, Bridgeport, Ross and Sue O'Connor, Manton, MI, Paul J. O'Connor, Alaska; his grandchildren who will miss him dearly, Joe Mott, McKenzie Mott, Montana Mott, Jessie Biermaker, Randy Lee Biermaker, Sierra O'Connor, Paul O'Connor II, Christie Clipper, Samantha and Ashley; four great grandchildren; his sister, Geraldine Thornton, Bridgeport; also many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, Dwane was predeceased by two sisters and one brother. The family would like to express their appreciation to his nephew Martin (Cricket) Thornton for always being there. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at W.L. Case and Company, 5700 Dixie Highway. Rev. Bill Bodnar will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
