Dwight Robert Praay

Praay, Dwight Robert Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Cartwight Care Center. Age 75 years. The son, one of twelve children, the late Theo and Nellie (Ecker) Praay was born on May 6, 1938 in Saginaw. He served as a Lieutenant of the James Township Fire Department from 1973 thru 1993. He worked for General Motors, Grey Iron Foundry, in Machine Repair, from which he retired from in October 1990 after 32 years of service. He was very active in youth baseball in Thomas Township. He is survived by two children; Kimberly (Mark) Skuczas and Keith (Jenell) Praay, three grandchildren; Michelle Read, Kelli Kuhr, Timothy Skuczas, four great-grandchildren; Sean, Aidan, Dylan, Kolby, a brother Donald (Virginia) Praay; many nieces and nephews. Dwight was predeceased by a son and a daughter, Kurt Praay and Kelly Gonzalez and ten brothers and sisters. The funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate. Friends may call at the Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service.
